Summary

Beachley's on the corner in Braddock Heights Park. The store is still there.

It was originally a multiple-use building, post office, store/confectionery, and trolley station. Strategically placed at the entrance to Braddock Heights Park, the trolley mainline had a switch and small station nearer to Alt. 40 that you could get on and off at as well.

In front of the store was a "wye" where this track, the branch line to the mainline that paralleled the road, and the line to Jefferson, all met.

The original station stop for the park was almost right in front of what most people remember as the skating rink. The trolley line was along the Jefferson Branch of the Hagerstown and Frederick Railway,

According to Reuben Moss: "if I recall it was originally called the Jefferson and Frederick Railway which was a subsidiary 'paper' company of the Frederick and Middletown. It was planned to be part of the Brunswick and Frederick Railway."
