Let us not forget the women who served our country during World War II, the famous "Rosie the Riveters". On the right is Brunswick's own Margaret Bowers, who worked building cargo planes for Fairchild.
The wife of veteran Eugene Bowers, Mrs. Bowers received a small war medal for her work. According to daugher Sherry, "a requirement for Fairchild was for ladies to wear hair-nets while they worked. My mother refused to wear one while her photo was being taken."
Apparently, the other lady in the photo agreed!
