Sisters-in-Law, sisters-in-age, sisters-in-Christ. Barbara Ellen Eckerd Roby, left, (my great-grandmother) and Anna M. "Annie" Courtney Meeks. Barbara was first married to Annie's brother Jacob Courtney in 1889. Jacob died the following year and a daughter of that union, Mary Zella died in 1892. Barbara and Annie were born in Morgan County WV in the 1870s, so both were well into their 80s here. Both raised families on High Street (now West Potomac St) in Brunswick and were long-time members of the First Baptist Church
