John H. Moore and wife, Margaret in 1974. John was a mule driver on the C&O Canal at the age of 9. He later worked for the B&O RR, but had to retire early due to health reasons, but stayed active in Brunswick.
He served on the Brunswick Town Council for over 10 years. He began selling Christmas trees at his home on Brunswick Street. His son, Fred, took over the business later. When he no longer could do it, he turned it over to the Brunswick Ambulance Company, to which John Moore was a life-time member.
