Wanda Nellie Nuse, 77, of Brunswick, died Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Northhampton Manor in Frederick.She was born Dec. 17, 1932, in Brunswick. She was the daughter of the late Robert Oscar and Annie Keefer Simons Merriman.She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Eldridge Nuse, on July 3, 2008.She was a homemaker. She served on the town council for the town of Brunswick during the '80s. She also served as an election judge.She is survived by one daughter, Cathey Dawson and husband, Robert, of Brunswick; three sons, Harry C. Nuse and wife, Karen, of Brunswick, Tommy Nuse and wife, Jayne, of Brunswick and Kevin Nuse of Alexandria, Va.; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Gladys Merriman of Brunswick; sister-in-law, Mary Olden of Frederick; devoted friend, Jorge Garcia of Maryland; and numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.She was preceded in death by eight sisters and brothers; Lee Merriman, Ethel Donovan, Alice Bell, Buck Merriman, Catherine Hayden, Mary Bednarz, James Merriman and Alfred Merriman.Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 26, at Grace Episcopal Church, 114 E. "A" Street, Brunswick, with the Rev. Fr. Mark Lewis officiating. Interment will be in Park Heights Cemetery, Brunswick.The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at John T. Williams Funeral Home, 100 Petersville Road, Brunswick, which will be open at 9 a.m. for the convenience of family and friends.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Brunswick Ambulance Co., 200 W.
