Summary

In 1910, when this ad was published in the Brunswick Herald, streets were dirt and certainly muddy when it rained. Wooden plank boards were placed in front of the businesses and some advertisements touted their location along "the Boardwalk in Brunswick". This advertisement was for Grove's, a "first class confection" offering soda water, ice cream, crushed fruit sundaes, and soft drinks of all kinds. The business was located on East Potomac Street across from the Brunswick B&O RR YMCA.
