Photo Caption : Henry ("Cap") Rinker on his printing press in the building behind his home on A Street in the alley between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. The building is still there.

Mr. Rinker took over the Brunswick Herald newspaper from Edward C. Shafer in 1913 at the age of 17 and renamed it the Blade Times. Because of his youth, his father had to assume responsibility of ownership, but Cap never removed his father's name from the masthead. He published the paper for 45 years until 1958 when, due to failing health, he sold it to James Bryan.

Shafer, renaming it The Blade Times. He published this journal for the next forty years. Because of Mr. Rinker’s youth at the beginning, his father had to assume the responsibility of ownership, and Henry never removed his father’s name from the masthead. Cap Rinker did job printing and other small operations in the building behind his home on A Street, expanding the facility as needed. Although his was a one-man operation, he rarely missed an issue. Poor health caused him to sell his business to James Bryan in 1958.
