This may have been a meeting in Annapolis in the mid-'50s regarding the interstate highway that was tentatively proposed along the towpath. Brunswick officials were in favor as the B&O was beginning its exodus and a turnpike may have driven business into town.

Clockwise from the top: Mayor Jim Cummings (holding cigarette) with prominent local businessmen and community leaders, Richard Bowers (Litten's Chevrolet-Olds), Emory Frye (President, Bank of Brunswick) and John Funk (Director of Maryland State Roads Commission). Mr. Funk was a Brunswick native.
