Summary

Updates - Posted May 29, 2020 Earlier today, the City of Brunswick Emergency Preparedness Committee met to further discuss some re-opening procedures. Below are some updates: -Frederick County has created a new application for temporary outdoor seating for restaurants not currently permitted for outdoor seating. Those wishing to apply will need to obtain a zoning certificate from the City prior to Frederick County issuing a permit. Restaurants currently with outdoor seating will not need to re-apply. -The Mayor and Council will discuss the 2020 fireworks display at their June 9th Council Meeting. -Preparations are being made to open the Municipal Pool later this summer. The timeline is unknown at this time, as is the capacity that will be allowed at the time the pool opens. There will be no swim lessons offered this season, but we are keeping the option of offering private parties open at this time, although no reservations are being taken yet. Season swim passes will not be offered, as we are unsure about the capacity available at the pool. Daily passes will be available at the pool when it opens. -We are still awaiting signage and sanitizing stations for our parks and playgrounds. They will be installed as soon as possible so parks and playgrounds may be opened. -Effective Monday, June 1, 2020, all City employees will be returning to work at their respective locations, rather than working from home. All facilities will remain closed to the public at this time however
