Summary

James Cox Jr: Our 3rd Grade class (Ms Hatcher) walked up the dirt road (West B Street extended) to the new school together, carrying Books etc from the West End Ele School. Each new Room had it's own water fountain, which I thought was a miracle. Then on to Catherine Manor, Lavinia Hood, and Hazel Good. No gym had been built yet in those days. Play Day was across the street in the Eagles park, some of that original kids gear is still there.

Had Mrs. Strailman for 1st grade, Mrs. Magalis for 2nd, Mrs. Colvin for a semester and then Mrs. Nancy Virts for 3rd, Miss Ottie Miller for 4th, and Miss Peggy Carter for 5th & 6th. All great teachers....Peter
