Summary

Sled riding on North Maple Avenue was a time-honored winter traditiion for local kids on "Wenner's Hill". This is another snow picture from the early-1960s.

The OK Market, owned by "Skeets" Kline and better known to all as "Stuffy's" because of the familiar face of manager James "Stuffy" Rooney behind the counter, is the white building on the left.

Mike Hilgenberg: WOW brings back a lot of memories. Spent many hours sled riding down N Maple . With the right conditions you could start at F St and make down to Petersville Rd , the only issue was having to walk back up the hill to do it again.

Carolyn Lamb Freed: We used to sled ride down East B Street off of 9th Ave when we were kids. That's the street that I grew up on. Good memories.

Peggy Coates: I used to sled ride on the A Street hills. They used to have burn barrel fires at the top of both hills.
