Summary
Local kids on a float for what was then the new public library in the old West End Elementary School on Brunswick Street in 1963. Note the crowd of people on Mrs. Lula McMurry's porch. Mary McMurry Margrabe is on the open part of the porch to the right of the glassed in area above the boy sitting on the overhang.
On the float to the right of the "children's literature" sign are Debbie Haller, David Pearrell, Terry Cooper, Kendall Gordon and Joe Eshbaugh. Davy Webber is directly behind Joe and Jayne Breeden is behind Davy. Steven Smith is wearing a tie in back.
