Summary

This was an open space at the bottom of the hill on W. B Street where the town held carnivals, minstrel shows, celebrations and placed the annual Christmas Tree. This appears to have been a stage for a Halloween celebration or performance.

Note the 1930s era cars and the Lion's Club float in the foreground. What year do you think this is?

It was bulldozed away for the right of way to the 1955 Potomac River Bridge.
