In my time there , the dismantling of cars was done on the east end of the receiving yard. The area was located just beyond the car yard&#039;s west end. Not sure of the men.

My Dad, John Henry Morsberger III, worked in the B&amp;amp;O scrap yard. One time he was cutting up a box car when the door fell to the ground pinning him beneath. A health issue at the time prevented him from speaking above a whisper. His coworkers used a crane to remove the door expecting him to be mashed flat underneath. There he was lying in a shallow depression, the only broken bone in the pinky finger of his left hand.&lt;br /&gt;
