An early 20th Century ad for C.H. Feete & Brothers, who offered home furnishings as well as funeral services. Furniture manufacturers often accompanied funeral establishments, which constructed their own caskets and coffins.

The builders raised the furniture on a rope-pulled elevator from the factory in a bank barn-style edifice on the corner of Petersville Road across from where Jerry's is today and moved it diagonally across the street on an overhead track to the finishing factory, in the area where the brick C&P Telephone building is located. There was another facility up the hill where horse-drawn hearses were stored.

According to the book referenced below, Charles H. Feete was called "Uncle Charlie, the father of Brunswick" because of his community involvement and generosity.

Suzette Richwagen: I knew that Feete's was a cabinet maker, and got into undertaking that way, but had no idea they sold appliances, carpets, and such. Very interesting!

Lauren Lipps I am very lucky to have inherited a tiny children's dresser (about 18 inches tall) that i used to store my tresures in as a child.

Raynette Harris I remember my fathers family using that Funeral Home and it was a white building on the corner of what is now the traffic circle
