I grow up on 709 North Maple Avenue ( in between Pink and Margaret Nalley's house and their daughter Charlotte and Uncle John Hammond's house). I remember the store on the corner and the store across the street from my house. My parents always went to his auctions in Sandy Hook when I was a child(I do not remember those days). All I remember from the auction house was what my father(John "Red"Russell) told me that I was playing in the gravel and found a diamond of some kind. I can honestly tell you growing up living beside these wonderful people was the best childhood(also teenage and adult life) experience any one could ever have. I was blessed. Lots of wonderful memories that I will cherish forever.<br />

My great "Uncle Pink" the brother of my MamMaw Millie Nalley Rooney and my cousin Charlotte. I spent alot of time with Uncle Pink, my Dad (Stuffy) up at the farm and the horse auctions at Boonsboro, Thurmont (Eylers Stables) New Holland (PA) buying and selling ponies and horses. My cousin Charlotte was one of the greatest cooks ever.<br />
