	The ~~men~~ and boys ~~were~~ identified on the photo ~~as top~~ (L-R): Will Beacht, John Hedges and Larry Webber. A kneeling Rhett Webber salutes on the right.		The Brunswick Civil Air Patrol or CAP was related to the old Brunswick landing strip where the Camp Ground is now located.

			According to Norm Cornelius, "The Civil Air Patrol remained a functional group for many years after the landing strip was closed. It was a great experience for local kids who were interested, similar to scouting. There were several pilots in Brunswick who flew from this little airport including Harry Payne (Pharmacist), Bill Care (Businessman) and Jimmy Ridgeway (Grocery Store owner). Some of the local kids in the CAP Program were Woody Bohrer, Richard Care, Bobby Frye and Cathy Heflin, among others.

			"Mr. Ridgeway was involved in a fatal accident when he struck a Cable over the Potomac and some interest in the local airport faded after that. Brunswick’s Grass Strip and the CAP Program are a large part of Brunswick’s rich history."
