According to Doris Kelley Barker, “Rev. Leonard D. Carmack went to a special (scholarship) high school which had military training. You see our precious American flag is held by the ladies. This is definitely the workers in our marvelous Vacation Bible School. We carried the American Flag, the Christian Flag and the Bible as we marched from the back of our Church around the side—Rev. Carmack leading the march. When we got into the sanctuary, we pledged allegiance to all three. We had a lot of students from lots of churches &amp;amp; we went for two weeks &amp;amp; then had commencement night the last Friday. It was special and marvelous—we studied the Bible, did crafts and were proud to show our achievements at the graduation.”&lt;br /&gt;
