Club members stayed afterschool for a potluck dinner and made Christmas wreaths for patients at a local nursing home. Building on this, the club hosted other potluck dinners and invited guest speakers to talk about topics ranging from AIDS to building self-confidence. <br />
Later in the year the club had a pool party, a picnic, and a volleyball tournament. <br />
These activities helped students to understand and appreciate the fact that one's family life at home is also interconnected with improving the community in which one lives ;=)!<br />
