Sadly the building has been gone for at least a decade. Prior to King's it was briefly home to the Blade-Times in the 1960s. Going back to the 1920s, it housed grocery stores such as Wenner's City Meat Market, White's Self Service, and John's Supermarket.

The Kaplon family owned the building for generations.
I remember when King’s opened. We didn’t have any real New York style pizza in town. Downtown was different back then, a lot of us teenagers would hang out to all hours of the night and King’s would welcome us in and never complained about us. I bet I ate 100’s of plain cheese pizzas from there before I moved away in 1989.

Richard Bowers
I remember it was the home of the Blade Times. Dad (Richard Bowers) and I stopped in so he could drop off articles about the Legion or Lion's Club. I also remember the publisher printed the clubhouse passes for Shenandoah Downs.

Susan Alexander
My brother, Tom Waters, and I taught dance there. I believe it was in the late sixties to about the mid seventies. My father, Floyd Waters did major remodeling in the building. Tony Cincotta owned the building.
