The 1969 Brunswick Little League State Champs assembled at Marvin Younkins Memorial Field on opening day on April 6, 2019. This group of guys won the 2nd State title for our hometown in 3 years between 1966 & 1969.

Team manager Paul Orrison, now 88 and looking like he could still pitch, threw out the first ball. Mr. Orrison managed both title teams along with coach Poon Lewis.

According to the Brunswick Citizen report, Paul Orrison "was firm, but fair, all the while making sure the learning atmosphere had a good mix of fun and serious practice." He managed all three Orrison sons

His wife, the late Mrs. June Phillips Orrison served as "a denmother to the team", as she had for years with Paul's Bears. She washed a lot of baseball laundry.

(L-R) Paul Orrison, Greg Simons, Barry Proctor, Clay Williams, Britt Orrison, Jim Gaither, Tom George, Randy Fowler, Rudy Cooper, Mike Moser, Alan Lewis
