A lot has changed in the past elevn years since this picture was taken, while other things have not. Jack retired and now coaches Women's Basketball at Hood College and his oldest son now teaches Special Ed.
Heather got married, is the mother of two girls and still is at BHS.
Anne is still at BHS and continues to coach track and cross country along with her husband Lee.
I believe Cindy transferred to Middletown High School.
Karen left FCPS and now teaches in the Loudoun County Public Schools system. I believe that Chuch is now at Urbana High School.
Chuck is still at BHS and is now the Math Department Chair.
I do not know about Elizabeth although I think she may still be in the FCPS system after transferring from Brunswick.
Jack and I used to have a lively ongoing debate on whether or not high school students should be allowed to use calculators in math if they did not know how to do basic math functions. I said no because it was important that they could do basic mathematics in their heads and not rely on a machine. If I punched in 7X6 on a calculator and the answer came up 45 I know that I either punched in the wrong numbers or the calculator was malfunctioning.
Jack believed that if a student didn't know basic math by high school he/she was never going to learn and that a calculator allowed students to solve a greater variety of problems ;=)!
