Maurice Edward Good had a 44-year rail transportation career with B&amp;amp;O/Chessie System. Working up from clerical jobs, he became Director of Freight Claims, later held General Manager positions at Detroit and Cincinnati, and was AVP-Line Operations at Cleveland. Retiring from Chessie in 1986 as AVP-Claims and Casualty Prevention Administration, he became a consultant to the Maryland Midland Railway&lt;br /&gt;

Maurice Edward Good, 90, of Westminster passed away peacefully at Carroll Hospital Center on Friday, July 28,2017.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Born March 16,1927 in Brunswick he was the son of the late William F. and Mary G. Good.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
He was predeceased by his wife Virginia M. (Bageant) Good of Berkeley Springs, W.V. and his siblings Harold Good, Franklin Good and June Harrison.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Maurice is survived by his son Michael Edward Good and daughter-in-law Lisa Christine Good; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Maurice was a very loving and outgoing person who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also loved his rides in the country.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Maurice graduated from Brunswick High School in 1945. He attended management training programs at the University of Wisconsin, University of Baltimore and McCoy College in Baltimore.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
While still in high school Maurice started working as a yard clerk for the Baltimore &amp;amp; Ohio Railroad.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Maurice entered the Army in 1945. During training as a Bomb Disposal Technician, Maurice along with fellow service men was seriously injured in a vehicle accident. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
While recuperating at Newton D. Baker Hospital in Martinsburg W.V. he met Virginia Bageant, a nurse at City Hospital in Martinsburg, who would become his wife of 63 years. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
After an honorable discharge from the Army he returned to work with the railroad. During his 42 year career that ended with his retirement from CSX, he held numerous positions; Director of Freight Claims, Director of Police and Property Protection, Director of Personal Injury Prevention, General Manager in Detroit and Cincinnati, and Assistant Vice President of Casualty Prevention Administration where he ended his career. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
After retirement Maurice was on the Board of Directors of Carroll Hospital Center, Maryland Midland Railroad and later Canton Railroad.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
He was a member of Brunswick Lodge #191, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, and a member of Boumi Temple Shrine, Grace Lutheran Church and Krug Chapel at Carroll Lutheran Village.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, August 2nd at 9:30 a.m. until the start of services, officiated by Pastor Jimmy Schwartz and Pastor Kevin Clementson at 11 a.m. at Krug Chapel at Carroll Lutheran Village.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
A luncheon will follow. Interment will be in Brownsville Cemetery.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
