I was in second grade. We were moved to the big hall and Miss Manor’s class. I think it was Room 10. Second and third graders were together. We called it the big hall because the big kids were there! It was actually the upper hall and lower grades were in the lower hall.
Randy George
Miss Manor rented from my father for years. Actually she may have lived there much of her life. I believe her parents lived in the same home after my grandfather built the houses in 1915 or so. 520 West Potomac. She was a good teacher and good neighbor. Always played the piano every morning for the class to sing.

Phil Lowery
I was moved from Ms Vanmeter’s class to Ms Manor sometime during 4th grade. We started everyday with Pledge of Allegiance and sang America the Beautiful.
Doris Kelley Barker
Yes, in the 30s, 40s Mrs. Cain and she would open their folding doors and our 5th grade and Miss Manor’s 4th would sing to her lovely piano playing. This was 1939 and 1940 for me and I remember it fondly.
