Some other observations from us:<br />
<br />
1) The Lockhouse at C&O Canal lock 30 is to the left under the bridge.<br />
<br />
2) Also to the left is a big house with porches on both levels at the corner of S. Virginia Avenue and Walnut Street, which has been long gone.<br />
<br />
3) The wooden barrier at the foot of S. Virginia Avenue was later replaced by a brick wall.<br />
<br />
4) You can see part of the mill on the right under the bridge.<br />
