PERSPECTIVE - on this date (February 18) in 2016 Central Maryland Rotary leaders met at the Brunswick Crossing Community Center to develop plans to establish the Smoketown Rotary Club of Brunswick, MD. Convened by then-Brunswick Mayor Karin B. Tome, Rotary Club of Carroll Creek member Richard A. Foot, Southern Frederick County Rotarian Richard Glover, Frederictowne Rotarian Angelene Kenny, and Rotary District 7620 Club Extension Chair Ray Streib announced a Rotary community information meeting for March 30, 2016 at the Brunswick Branch Library. In November of 2017, the new Rotary Club became a Satelite club of the Rotary Club of Carroll Creek. Six months later on May 10, 2018 the Rotary Club of Smoketown, Brunswick, Maryland hosted its Charter Dinner, as an independent Rotary Club of Rotary International.<br />
