A team’s success is usually determined by its number of wins, but success can also be measured by the efforts on the field of a team and its individual members.<br />
<br />
With the regular goalie Charlie McLane out early in the season due to injuries, Senior backup Mickey Robinson stepped up to the plate. Robinson was a first year player and even though he was under tremendous pressure, his goal was to be the best he could on the field.<br />
<br />
After BHS beat Walkersville High School in its opening game of the season with a shutout, Coach Alan Lescalleet commented, “In my fifteen years of coaching [Robinson] was thrusted into a pressure situation and buckled down and did great job.”<br />
<br />
The team beat Walkersville again in the season along with defeating Catoctin, Boonsboro, and South Hagerstown high schools.<br />
