Mrs. Margaret Turner taught business education at Brunswick High School for 19 years. Born in the Bronx on July 22, 1928, she received her elementary education in New York City public schools. She later moved to Norfolk, VA and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. She went on to receive her BS degree in Business Education from Virginia State Univ. and a Master&amp;#039;s Equivalency in Education, with graduate studies completed at Western Maryland College, Norfolk State Univ. and the Univ. of Maryland.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The Turners moved to Frederick in 1954 where she worked for years as a secretary at Fort Detrick before returning to teaching in 1963 at Brunswick High, where she taught until 1982, before moving on to West Frederick and Monocacy Middle Schools, retiring in 1988.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Mrs. Turner passed away on February 8, 2018.&lt;br /&gt;

Jeanne Green Brandenburg-Smith: Aww Mrs Turner...will always remember her saying &amp;quot;Eyes on your books, hands in position, ready type&amp;quot;. If you had her, you can hear her saying it, in her own way.&lt;br /&gt;

Kevin Wayne Barker: Loved Mrs. Turner! She helped me get my first good paying job with the railroad. She let me come back to school in her class to type, so I could get my speed and accuracy up before going to Baltimore to take the WB tower operators test.&lt;br /&gt;
