He served as president of the Recreation Commission and supervised city parks for many years, helping to establish Little Lcague and managing both Little League and Babe Ruth teams. He was a founder, director, and president of Senior Citizens and enthusiastically promoted Brunswick’s shopping center. As a charter member of the Brunswick History Commission, he was vice-president from 1980 to 1985.
