Clockwise from top ieft: Sam Cincotta's first produce stand on Potomac St. at Maryland Ave., apartment in background from old Berlin. J. E. Shilling general store in Old Berlin on Water and 3rd Sis. across tracks from westbound station c.1890. Jacob M. Emphraim's clothing store, destroyed by fire Dec. 1917, later Ephraim's Liquors. One hundred block East Potomac St. c.1920. L to R - Storerooms, Dr. Strother's office, Barnett Drug and Cigar Store, and Yardley Hotel. Arrival of LaFrance fire truck in 1923 at the old Fire Hall on same location as present Fire Company.
