Summary
Mrs. Nellie Lloyd's Core class at the old high school during the 1964-65 school year. Core was a combination of English and Social Studies, around which all junior high curiculum was developed.
Mrs. Lloyd was another BHS alumnus who went on to teach at her alma mater. Upon her retirement in 1966, she was honored by the BHS PTA whose members planted an oak tree in her memory at the school entrance on Cummings Drive. She was honored posthumously in 1988 as a Distinguished Citizen of Brunswick because of her extensive work in the community.
