Summary
A late 1930s photo of Mrs. Edith Wenner Van Pelt standing in front of her house on the 5th Avenue hill. She was the 6th of C.M. Wenner's 9 children, wife of B&O exec Mark Van Pelt and mother of 2 children. The family later moved to Philadelphia and Seaford, DE with the B&O as Mr. Van Pelt's career advanced.
Note the soot on the side of the house, a common sight around town in the age of steam.

Eleanor Kerr: She made the best sandtarts, homemade caramels and peanut brittle. We would get a box at Xmas and I think I ate most of it!!
