Summary
Prominent Brunswick businessman and community leader Richard Bowers next to Kaplon's in the background of the First Methodist Church, holding baby Ricky. Daughter Brenda (BHS Class of '64), now deceased, is on the lower right.
Mr. Bowers was part of the local team that built the new elementary school, the Potomac River Bridge and post office in the 1950s. Richard and his brother Gene were top salesmen at Litten's Chevrolet-Oldsmobile after World War II into the 1970s.
