Mr. John William Boyer, 87, formerly of Fourth Avenue, Brunswick, died Thursday, Feb. 21, at the National Lutheran Home for the Aged in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Boyer was a retired trainman. He was married to the former Miss Bessie Elizabeth Coogle and was the son of the late Samuel Boyer and Annie Breedon Boyer. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Walter Gross and Mrs. Joe Trobinger, both of Hagerstown, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted in the National Lutheran Home for the Aged, Monday, February 25.

Burial was in the Mountain View Cemetery in Sharpsburg.
