Summary
This photo from the 2000 yearbook shows the Advisor and student members of the BHS Latin Club.
In hope of understanding the relationship between Roman Times and today, students in the Latin class pursued this goal by becoming members of the school’s Latin Club.
Members of the club played games such as Scrabble to incorporate knowledge of derivatives (words derived from another language or from a root in the same language) and to give them practice for the vocabulary section of the SAT’s.
As Advisor Elaine Lightener once commented “Our goal is to do some activities that we don’t have time to do in class and to have fun with the culture.”
