James Rada, Jr., spoke at the Brunswick Public Library on the "Boys of Summer", June 21, 2018. Mr Rada spoke about The Blue Ridge League that was the longest-running Class D baseball league with teams from MD, PA and WV (1915-1930). Not only did at least 100 players move on to play in the Major Leagues , the league itself introduced many new innovations to baseball that are still used today.

Mr Rada is the author of many fiction and non-fiction books. One of interest to the Brunswick area is "The Secrets of the C&O Canal". He is standing behind copies of his books.
