This photo is from the 1994-95 school year and shows the members of the BHS Varsity Boys Soccer team.
A team’s success is usually determined by its number of wins, but success can also be measured by the efforts on the field of a team and its individual members.
With the regular goalie Charlie McLane out early in the season due to injuries, Senior backup Mickey Robinson stepped up to the plate. Robinson was a first year player and even though he was under tremendous pressure, his goal was to be the best he could on the field.
After BHS beat Walkersville High School in its opening game of the season with a shutout, Coach Alan Lescalleet commented, “In my fifteen years of coaching [Robinson] was thrusted into a pressure situation and buckled down and did great job.”
The team beat Walkersville again in the season along with defeating Catoctin, Boonsboro, and South Hagerstown high schools.

Postscript - Unfortunately Charlie McLane passed away in 2006 at the age of 27.
