From Jon Evans: Beginning in 2003, World History was no longer taught in Ninth grade at the high school and was moved to Eighth grade at the middle school. Now Government was taught in Ninth grade, American Studies One in Tenth grade, and American Studies Two in Eleventh grade. The Junior class of that year was the last to take World History as a high school class.

In the photo everybody except me is holding a video tape, while I’m standing in from of a TV monitor and video machine. We chose this because overall the department most likely showed more videos in our classes than any other department.

If you had me as a teacher you probably remember one of my favorite series to show was the “After School Specials.” I often showed one the day after a test so students could earn extra-credit while allowing me to grade the tests during the class period.

Alan, Ed, Jim, Sara and I are currently retired but I do not know if Dana is still teaching or not. Dana’s last year at BHS was 2005 and in 2006 Patricia Brown became the newest member to the department. She is currently is still at the school. I have not had any contact with Dana once she left the school.
