This photo is from 1998-99 and shows the members and coaches of the Girls Varsity Softball Team.

The Varsity softball had a season of changes in as the team was made of both Junior Varsity and Varsity players combined into one team. It was a season of rebuilding and learning. With the loss of several Seniors, many players had to switch positions and relearn the game from new perspectives.

Although the team did not have a winning season, they did make it to the first round of the playoffs but were defeated by Catoctin High School. Most importantly, they all came together as a team and gained more experience in the game.

As Ami Dozier said “We had a young team but we played with heart. I always had fun with the team.” Katie Yourishin expressed similar views when she stated “Our team was a very young one, but we have developed into an experience and united group of young ladies.”
