Summary

1988 marked the beginning of a new sport at BHS - the swim team. Since the high school did not have a pool, the students had to practice and compete "away" so I admired their dedication to this sport.

Speaking of a "pool-less " BHS, I always enjoyed partaking in the rumor that under the old gym floor was a pool and if one got down on the floor at the mid-court line and sniffed you could smell the chlorine.

With the technology of today I could set up a web-cam after announcing to my ninth graders about the hidden pool and stream it live to upperclassmen ;=)!

Top (L-R) David Shelton, Laura Castle, Anders Pertl, Rick Rupp, Brad Vorac Bottom (L-R) Coach Szukalski, Tony Holland, Rob Eackles, Lisa Capino, Kevin Conley, Coach Anderson.
