Summary
On May 30, 1958, a horrific air crash between military and jet airliners collided in mid-air between Brunswick and Point of Rocks. It was a long-fought legal case that led to stronger federal air traffic controls.
Using binoculars, mill operator Walker Smith watched the surviving pilot descend by parachute. He drove to the crash site and took this photo of what appears to be part of the fusilage of the military jet
