He was the husband of Shirley Thomas Alban.

Born March 30, 1933, in Washington, D.C., he was a son of the late Charles and Ethel Haines Alban.

Mr. Alban retired from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. He was a Korean War Navy veteran. He was a Protestant and a member of VFW Post No. 10421 and Steadman-Keenan Post No. 96 of the American Legion, both of Brunswick.

Surviving in addition to his wife are one son, Donald. W. Alban, Jr. and wife Melissa Lynn Ambrose Alban of Frederick; one sister, Joan L. Foote of Oakton, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, March 20, at the John T. Williams Funeral Home, 100 Petersville Road, Brunswick. The funeral home will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday.

Graveside services will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, in Park Heights Cemetery, Brunswick. The Rev. Samuel Edleman will officiate.
