Summary

Parade

On back of photos: Top left: Probably in 1930's. 3rd Avenue parade turned off East Potomac Street and turned up 3rd ave then up A St to Memorial Park where a ceremony was held honoring veterans of past wars. Top right: Armistice Day parade and this was probably the "Silver Bit Riding Club" of Petersville Woods. parade would end up at Memorial park on "A" St at that time there was a WWI 155 MA Canon at the memorial site which was later replace with a WWII Tank Top left; at Memorial Park there was a grand stand, also speeches, band music, taps and a firing squad. Top right: Cage Brothers Service Station and Garage and Room and Boarding house. This all burned down.
