Summary

A BHS hitter in action during the Spring season of 1971. The Railroaders went 12-3 and pitching was dominant, led by staff ace Mitch Deener, who was drafted and pitched professionally in the San Diego Padres organization. They were eliminated in the 2nd round of the District Playoffs by Bruce High School from Allegheny County by a score of 2-1. BHS defeated Williamsport 3-0 in the first round.
