Summary

This photo is from 1995 and shows the members of Varsity Girls Basketball Team.

At the end of the regular season the team’s record was 18-4, at the time the best in Brunswick’s history. Going to the State Playoffs the Railroaders got through the second round, but lost to Wilde Lake by only 7 points (30-37).

Twice the team defeated longtime rival Middletown during the season by scores of 52-42 and 48-42.

At the start of the season the team won five straight games in a row, and ended the season with four straight win.

Forward Jessica Sowers and point guard Julie Foltz were named to the All-Area and the All-MVAL teams. Coach Bill Martin was named Coach of The Year.

The team included three Seniors, five Juniors, and two Sophomores.
