Summary

This photo is from the 2002 BHS Yearbook and shows members of the 2001-02 Freshmen Boys Basketball team.

Ninth grade teams allowed players to have more court playing time and this experience helped to develop players not only for the JV but also for the Varsity squad.

From an athletic standpoint, many are also making the transition from playing (or practicing) 2 or 3 days per week to 5 or 6. This increase is a shock to their systems both physically and mentally.

The 2001-2002 team had winning season a 10-9 beating Urbana, Walkersville, and Catoctin twice, and both South and North Hagerstown in their one match up.

As player Jason Wigfield said in the yearbook "The practices were fun and we had a great coach."
