Bernard B. Burch, 100, of Brunswick, MD, passed away at Frederick Memorial Hospital on November 27, 2018. Born December 26, 1917 in Brunswick, MD to the late Ernest W. and Agnes Baker Burch, Mr. Burch was one of the original organizers of Brunswick Little League baseball and coached the Tigers. A 77 year member of Brunswick Masonic Lodge #191 and a Past Worshipful Master, Mr. Burch also was active for 43 years in the Brunswick Lions Club, was an avid pin trader, and received the Melvin Jones Fellow award. He loved baseball and was a member of First United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Mildred (Kidwell) Burch, who passed on March 17, 2007, his brothers; Ernest, Edgar and Raymond Burch, and a sister, Agnes Belas. He is survived by his daughter, Ernestine L. Wilson, and her husband, Rob, of Boonsboro, MD, his granddaughter, Misty Bitler, of Brunswick, MD, a great granddaughter, Jenilyn Powers, of Frederick, MD, and a sister, Frances Shumaker of Alexandria, VA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Servie will be held on Monday, December 2, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the John T. Williams Funeral Home, 100 Petersville Road, Brunswick, MD 21716. Interment St. Mark's Church Cemetery. Viewing on Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 12 Noon to 7:00 PM. A Masonic Service will be held at 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Shriner's Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL, 33607 or to the Brunswick High School Baseball, Attn: Roger Dawson, 101 Cummings Drive, Brunswick, MD 21716.
