Summary
Bert Thornton speaking from the podium at Sonny Cannon's retirement dinner at the old fire hall in 1978. Mr. Thornton was owner of Brunswick's own country music radio station, WTRI. By this time, Sonny Cannon had retired after a contentious battle to retain the Fire Chief postion he had held for well over a generation.
