This is Dr. Levin West's YMCA membership card from 1931. He was issued membership number 694. Dr. West was born in Petersville, MD and graduated from the University of Maryland Medical School in 1886 and was a surgeon for the B&O Railroad Hospital in Brunswick. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Brunswick B&O Railroad YMCA. Dr. West volunteered for medical services during World War I. Dr. West was very active in the community and also served as a Town Councilman.
