Summary

1936 Flood. This photograph appears to have been taken from the YMCA.

Looking west, you can see from left to right: --The B&O signal bridge that went over tracks 1, 3, and 5 (next to the railroad crossing) --the Westbound Train Station --the old American Legion/Waltman House --the Commuter Lodge with Red Men's Hall and Kaplons beyond

Smoketown History (Brunswick, Md.) German-style architecture of the old Commuter Lodge or "Kehne Eye's" on S. Maple Avenue to the right in the photo makes you wonder if it was built by the same company that erected the King's Pizza building (Originaly owned by Mayor Harry Mace for his furniture business there) next to Smoketown Brewery
